Waterfall

I love it when RnD projects become full finished renders, these are always the most fun to do.

Made a simple animation in Cinema4D with MoGraph, imported into Houdini and made a simple flip setup, for this one I wanted to reach the look of water holding on to the surfaces as it drips away. Of course for tweaks I made a smaller sim with the test geo to reach the look I wanted and then applied the settings when I was happy (To make foam in the unreal material I gave a color attribute to the water mesh, I used vorticity and then used vertex color inside the material to drive the mixing).

Once done, I processed everything from making uvs to remeshing the water, it goes to UE5 to compose and render. Water material was the most interesting definitely. And to finish it, I always give a pass in AE, this time i decided to make a custom shader following a tutorial from videocopilot for camera water drops.

Do ask questions if you have any!

Thank you, have a good one!
